Description
Views of National Fund workers and lighting sketch artist George Freyer at a cocktail party in the Crystal Ballroom at the King Edward Hotel. The party was hosted by National Fund Co-Chairmen M. Wallace McCutcheon and Neil J. McKinnon to announce the grand total of the National Fund was $15,026,424. George Freyer was invited to draw a series of lighting sketch cartoons to accompany a script by Miss Pat Patterson which told the story of the National Fund.

Description
Views of twenty staff and faculty volunteers from Victoria College who collected pledges by telephone on behalf of Victoria's Living Endowment. Included are shots of the volunteers meeting, phoning graduates, and Ralph Albrant, U of T's Director of Development, screwing in a bulb on a Christmas tree. Albrant turned on a new bulb every time the total amount of pledges increased by $25.

Interior views of Hart House Great Hall where the National Fund breakfast was held. It was one of five National Fund breakfasts held for canvassers as part of the official launch of the campaign. The Hart House breakfast was televised by closed-circuit television to the remaining satellite breakfasts at Victoria College, Trinity College, St. Michael's College, and Howard Ferguson Hall. Included are shots of the head table featuring Toronto Mayor Nathan Phillips, University President Claude Bissel, and National Fund Chairmen N.J. McKinnon, Lt.-Col. W.E. Phillips, and M. W. McCutcheon
