Description
MacLeod was Professor of Physiology at the University of Toronto from 1918 to 1928 and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Medicine from 1920 to 1928. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine with Dr. Banting for his part in the discovery of insulin in 19l23. MacLeod resigned the Chair of Physiology in 1928 and died in 1935.

Portrait of Professor Howe taken from a composite of the graduating class, Faculty of Forestry 1924. Howe joined the University of Toronto as a lecturer in Botany and Forestry in 1908. In 1927 he became a Professor of Forestry and Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, a position he held for 21 years. Howe retired in 1941 and died in 1946.
