Description
Photographs taken at the opening of the exhibit "Art for Architecture - The Wall", a traveling exhibition mounted by the Art Gallery of Ontario, at the Scarborough College "Science Street", in 1969. The exhibit included 33 leading Canadian artists. There were 15 contemporary wall hangings by Micheline Beauchemin, Joni Baker, Charlotte Lindgren, Joyce Weiland, and others; 15 walls of aluminum, ceramics, paintings, posters and sculpture by Michael Snow, Margot Ariss, Merton Chambers, Louis de Niverville, Roy Speirs, among others; and 6 illuminates by Harold Town, John Masciuch, Zbigniew Blazje, Michael Hayden and Margit Gatterbauer. Photographs show artwork as well as artists, visitors, staff members of the College. Also documented are William Withrow and E. G. Bovey of the Art Gallery of Ontario, Miss Anita Aarons, organizer and Wynne Plumptre, principal of the Scarborough College. There are also interior views of Scarborough College.
