The University of Toronto based company of puppeteers and actors was funded by the Varsity Fund and gave performances and workshops on puppeteering. "The Bird Catcher from Hell" was a morality play based on a Japanese legend.

Bissell, Chancellor Omond Solandt, and Executive Vice-President (Academic) John H. Sword. Before the honorary degree convocation, Dr. Michener was admitted as an Honorary Fellow of Trinity College, University of Toronto.
