President Daniel Wilson was born in 1816 and died August 5, 1892. Wilson was President of University College from 1880 to 1892 and he was President of the University of Toronto from 1890 to 1892.

Macallum was appointed professor of physiology in 1891 and professor of biochemistry in 1908. He resigned in 1917 when he became the First Administrative Chairman of the Research Council of Canada. Macallum was born in 1858 and died in 1934.
